For 40 school kids in Staten Island public school, SBGOC came together to donate 40 school bags and supplies, as part of the regional MMVS charity initiative. Thank you for your help and support, for providing supplies, generously donating money and helping to pack the bags. The roster of contributors will be available in the church office. The snapshots capturing the bag packing process have been included in this message. It was truly heartening to see a wide spectrum of ages collaborating for this cause.
A special commendation goes to Vinita Alex, who orchestrated this event in conjunction with the MMVS team, and also to the transporting assistance by – James Kandathil, Binu Samuel, Rohan Alex, and Arun Alex.
MMVS Bible Quiz:
The annual MMVS Bible Quiz is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Levittown, NY, from 10 am to 12 pm. We have four participants who have registered to represent our church. We wish the best of luck to the SBGOC quiz team.
Diocese Charity with Raffle:
We are counting on each family to donate $25 to wards this charity, and your ticket will be entered in the raffle. Diocese leadership will be collecting these donations by end of September.
